Home Care Packages in Tweed
The Home Care Package Program provides support for older Australians to stay in their home longer.
Understanding home care packages
With home care packages, older Australians receive funding from the government to live with assisted care delivered right to their homes. An approved provider will arrange for community services, social support, care services, and equipment to ensure a safe home environment with equipment such as guardrails and ramps.

Home Care Assistance has care staff available all throughout the Tweed Region and beyond.
Eligibility for home care packages:

Approved Home Care providers can deliver services that promote independence. Approval for a home care package is given via an Aged Care Assessment Test (ACAT) performed by the local Tweed region assessment team.
Package levels for home care
The home care packages range from Level 1 to 4, with level 1 being low needs and level 4 being complex needs. Each home care package level is given a monthly budget ranging from $766 for Level 1, up to $4,448 for Level 4. Your home care provider will work with you to develop a budget for the services to ensure you get maximum value from your package. With Consumer Directed Care, you will ultimately decide which services benefit you the most.
